Autumnal Sunset Meadow

The inspiration for this piece came when Kat was walking on the cliff path in St Lawrence on the Isle of Wight. It was late afternoon in October, the sun was setting and everything was a myriad of  gold and mustard yellows. The farmer was harvesting and his tractor was disturbing the insects. The House Martins were dancing in the sky, catching the insects and the buzzards were hovering nearby to catch the House Martins. The fields were flooded with colour.

“I just had to jot this down with thread,” Kat says. “It was such a lovely moment …”
